Ukraine has become the second largest supplier of flour to the EU in 2022

Since 2019, the volume of flour export from Ukraine has reduced by 4,8 times - from 365 000 tons in 2019 to 76 000 tons in 2022. However, Ukraine became the second largest supplier of flour to the EU. In terms of the geographical structure of flour export by Ukraine in 2022, as a result of the naval blockade of the russian federation, a reorientation of Ukrainian producers to European markets instead of the markets of the Middle East and Africa took place.

Among the countries that became the largest sales markets in 2022, the top included Poland, Romania, Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia, as well as the Republic of Moldova. In 2022, Moldova itself became the largest market for the sale of Ukrainian flour with an export volume of 21 000 tons.
