“Ukraine is a pharmaceutical country, and to confirm my words, I want to say that Ukraine is actively exporting medicines today. We export medicines to 73 countries around the world... Moreover, exports are growing every year; year-on-year, we are adding 15-20% to our exports,” said Petro Bagriy, President of the Association of Ukrainian Medicine Manufacturers.

Currently, up to 70% of medicines in packaging in Ukraine are domestically produced.

“In terms of this indicator, Ukraine is among the world leaders. And 30-32% are medicines of foreign production. If we switch to monetary terms, the situation is exactly the opposite: 32-35% are Ukrainian-made medicines, and accordingly, 65% are foreign-made medicines. We are trying to increase our share,” - Bagriy said.
