Ukraine and North Macedonia agreed on "transport visa-free regime"

A transport visa-free regime" will be introduced between Ukraine and North Macedonia. It provides for the cancellation of permits for bilateral and transit traffic for vehicles of Euro 3 and higher standard.

The relevant decision was made during a meeting of the Ukrainian-Macedonian Joint Commission on International Road Transport of Passengers and Goods, which took place in the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje. The parties also agreed on the main conditions for permit-free travel and amendments to the bilateral agreement.

Ukraine and North Macedonia have agreed to double the quota of permits for transport to third countries for this year and next year. They also agreed on the procedure for the validity of these permits. They can be used both in the forward and reverse directions. This type of permit is valid for vehicles of any environmental category.

To use the "transport visa-free regime", carriers must have a certificate from the manufacturer or an authorized institution confirming the environmental class of at least Euro 3.
