Turkey has prepared a “road map” to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain

Turkish authorities have prepared a “road map” to address the global food crisis provoked by Russia's attack on Ukraine.

As Anadolu informs according to diplomatic sources, Turkey has been conducting diplomatic contacts for some time in order to form a mechanism that will ensure the safe delivery of grain from Ukraine to world markets.

Based on the results of negotiations between the Turkish side and representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United Nations, a “road map” has been prepared, which will ensure the operation of the “grain corridor” under the protection of the United Nations.

It is expected that all stakeholders will hold a meeting in Istanbul in the coming days to discuss the details of the roadmap. The following issues are planned to be considered in a quadrilateral format: route, insurance, ship security, demining of ports, as well as the forming of the command center.

Thus, thanks to the mechanism, it will be possible to demine areas around the Black Sea ports of Ukraine and supply grain stocks to foreign markets.

A center regulating Russian-Ukrainian cooperation under the mediation of Turkey in coordination with the UN is planned to be set up in Istanbul.

As part of this initiative, it is planned to export 20 million tons of grain to world markets.

According to diplomatic sources, the Presidents of Ukraine and russia, Volodymyr Zelensky and Volodymyr Putin, are positive about the cooperation on the “grain corridor”.

The publication notes that one of the main topics of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's telephone conversations with colleagues from Russia and Ukraine - Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky - was exactly the “grain corridor”.
