Thanks to "transport visa-free" truck export to the EU increased by 30%

The agreement on the liberalization of freight transportation between Ukraine and the EU allowed to increase Ukrainian truck export by 30% in 2023 compared to 2021. Thanks to the agreement, the export of goods by trucks in the direction of the EU countries increased by 30% this year, if compared to 2021, when the permit system of transportation was valid.

Besides this, the agreement is the main element of the "Solidarity Lanes" to support grain export when there are no stable alternative routes and maritime blockade. In 2022, compared to 2021, the export of Ukrainian goods by road to the EU increased by 40%. Import increased by 11% in 2022 and by 25% in 2023 compared to 2021.

Besides, for 48% more goods were exported to EU countries by road during the one and a half year of the agreement than during the same period before its signing. Import increased by 44% since that time.
