Thailand is interested in importing of Ukrainian feed

Thailand is interested in importing of Ukrainian feed. The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has been informed about this by the Embassy of Ukraine in that country. Before allowing the goods on their markets the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand must assess the Ukrainian system of the state control over the animal proteins manufacturing. Moreover, it must inspect the enterprises compliance with Thai legislation and requirements.

According the the estimates, the Thai food market annually increases by 2-3%, so, the demand for domestic animals feed, especially chicken and pigs grows as well. The head of the State Service of Food Safety and Consumer Protection said that Thailand is one of many countries with which we cooperate. And talking about the animal protein, this direction is very perspective for cooperation, because Thailand is one of 4 largest exporters of chicken meat in the world and the exports volumes grow every year. Together with this the demand for imports of feed and animal proteins.

Currently the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand are working on organization of the visit of Thai delegation in order to finalize all formal procedures. Though, because of the COVID-19 pandemics the other side is still thinking about the days of such a visit. The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection plays an important role in increasing of the effectiveness of Ukrainian exports. Its task is to overcome technical barriers to trade and provide state guarantees for compliance with the requirements of partner countries.
