The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in its resolution “On approval of lists of goods, export and import of which are subject to licensing, and quotas for 2025”             № 1481 dated December 24, 2024, approved the mechanism for distributing sugar export quotas to EU countries.

According to Appendix 5 to the resolution, the volume of sugar export to the EU is set at 107 thousand 238 tons 620 kg.

Applications for issuing licenses for the export of goods to European Union member states are considered within 10 days in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Economy.

Export licenses are issued on the basis of applications for the issuance of licenses for the export of such goods and approvals provided by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy within five days from the date of receipt from the Ministry of Economy of an application for obtaining licenses for the export of the specified goods without involving a foreign economic activity entity in the manner of interdepartmental information exchange.

When applying the regime of licensing the export of goods, it is necessary to be guided exclusively by the product code in accordance with the UCTZED.

Licensing the export of goods is introduced till June 5, 2025.
