The CMU is launching a pilot project to implement a mechanism for due diligence of agricultural products exported to EU member states. It concerns confirmation of the EU requirement (acquis) that the products were grown on land plots that have not undergone deforestation and forest degradation after December 31, 2020.
As part of the project implementation, an automated geoinformation system will be created in the State Agrarian Register (DAR) for collecting, processing and verifying information about land plots where export products are grown.
How to use the new mechanism:
The producer submits an application for due diligence through the electronic cabinet in DAR → based on this data, an extract is generated to confirm the compliance of the products with EU legislation requirements → verification of the information is carried out through electronic interaction of DAR with the State Land Cadastre and the State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate via the “Trembita” system.
The implementation of the resolution will also contribute to the digitalization of state processes in the field of agricultural production, Ukraine's fulfillment of international obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU, and will strengthen control over the prevention of deforestation and forest degradation.
