The share of grain exports by rail toward ports increased to 92%

The share of grain cargo transportation in export routes toward ports increased to 92% in January.

Within 20 days, railway transport carried 2 million 255 thousand tons of grain cargo. This figure exceeds the volume of December 2024 by 11.3%.

In railway export routes, 1 million 964 thousand tons of grain were transported. Of them, 1 million 813 thousand tons were directed toward ports. Thus, the share of such shipments reached 92% of the total volume. Only 8%, or 151 thousand tons, were transferred through western border crossings.

The volume of grain loaded within 20 days of January amounted to 1 million 831 thousand tons. This is 3.4% higher than in December 2024. The average daily loading rate was nearly 92 thousand tons.
