The share of agricultural products in the total export of Ukraine increased to 62%

In 2023, the share of agri-food products in the total export of Ukraine increased to 62% compared to 53% in 2022. A characteristic feature of the past year for the domestic agrarian sector of the economy was the slowdown in the rate of reduce in foreign trade turnover.

If in 2022 compared to 2021, as a result of the reduction of both export and import, it reduced by more than 6 billion US dollars, last year compared to 2022, the turnover of import-export operations reduced by 0,7 billion US dollars. According to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, at the end of 2023, Ukraine exported agricultural food products (groups 1-24 of the UCT ZED, as well as casein, albumins, skins, fur, timber etc.) worth 22,1 billion US dollars.

And although the 2023 figure is 21% less than the 2021 record of 27,9 billion US dollars, it became the fifth during the independence of Ukraine.
