A pilot project has been launched on the border with Romania, which will contribute to the reduction of queues in front of checkpoints

Starting from June 1, a pilot project for testing the system of advance notification of emergency situations is being implemented at checkpoints on the state border of Ukraine and Romania.

Testing of the Advance Notification System will involve determining the optimal number of vehicles accepted by the border authorities of each party during one shift at the automobile checkpoints, agreeing on the order of interaction during emergency situations at the checkpoints, as well as ensuring the stable balance work of border crossing operations.

Representatives of the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the Customs Administration of Romania agreed to introduce the System on the Ukrainian-Romanian border for a period of 3 months.

The project will be implemented at the checkpoints: "Orlivka -  Isaсcеa"; "Porubne - Siret"; "Krasnoilsk -Vicovu de Sus"; "Diakove - Halmeu".

Similar projects are already being implemented on the territories  of the border with other neighboring countries - EU members and have received high marks from the controlling authorities of Ukraine and neighboring states.
