Part of the Danube will be integrated into the European TEN-T network

Ukraine is working on optimizing the operations of Danube ports and developing railway and road infrastructure to ensure the delivery of goods to port terminals.

This was reported by the Ministry of communities and territories development of Ukraine following a Quint format meeting, which brought together representatives from Ukraine, the United States, Romania, Moldova, and the European Commission (DG MOVE).

Thanks to the efforts within the Quint format, a fully operational “green corridor” was launched between the Reni – Giurgiulești – Galați border checkpoints. This has accelerated the delivery of goods to the Romanian port of Galați and reduced the time required for control procedures.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian delegation reported on the development of Danube ports. The priority is not only to optimize port operations but also to enhance the railway and road infrastructure that facilitates the delivery of cargo to port terminals.

Separately, the parties discussed the integration of the Ukrainian section of the Danube into the European TEN-T network, which will improve transport logistics and ensure integration with European infrastructure.
