Previously, the Regional State Administration announced the launch in August 2025.
“Work continues with Romanian partners on the development of border infrastructure. Recently, two delegations held a productive meeting. They discussed, in particular, the construction of the “Bila Tserkva – Sighetu Marmației” checkpoint. A contract for the work has already been signed. We plan to launch the new checkpoint in Bila Tserkva based on temporary infrastructure simultaneously with our neighbors by the end of 2025,” the statement reads.
For the Ukrainian side, the implementation of this project is a priority, as it involves not only increasing the capacity of the Ukrainian-Romanian border but also improving logistics.
