Nearly three dozen Ukrainian companies have received the right to export honey to the EU

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection continues its efforts to expand markets, and work has already begun on 31 new markets that Ukrainian enterprises aim to enter for export.

Last year, 22 domestic food producers received permission to export their products to the EU (12 of them are producers of poultry meat and related products, 3 are fish processing enterprises, and 5 are dairy processing companies).

For honey producers, a “re-accreditation” was also carried out, as since November of last year, the EU introduced a list of honey-importing enterprises. Following the inspections, 28 Ukrainian honey producers and processors were included in this list.

Ukrainian producers are reorienting themselves toward countries in Africa, the Middle East, and China, particularly due to quotas on certain product groups for the EU.
