Mollusk exports and imports declined in the first quarter

In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine exported 192 tons of mollusks, 11.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. In monetary terms, mollusk exports reached $578,000, a 4.6% decrease from January–March 2024. The main buyers of Ukrainian mollusks in Q1 2025 were Spain (83%), Italy (4.2%), and Lithuania (3.8%).

From January to March 2025, Ukraine imported 962 tons of mollusks from abroad, a 12.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. Ukraine spent $3.9 million on these imports, up 2.6% from January–March 2024. The largest suppliers of mollusks to the Ukrainian market this year were China (33.9%), Chile (21.3%), and France (19.4%).
