Live poultry imports increased by 15,4% in 9 months

In 9 months of 2023, Ukraine imported 3,000 tons of live poultry: chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and guinea fowls. This is 15,4% more than in the same period last year. In monetary terms, the import of live poultry in January-September this year reached 53,7 million USD – 35,3% more than in the same period of 2022. 

In particular, in September of this year, 0,3 thousand tons of live poultry were purchased abroad for 6,3 million USD. The largest suppliers of live poultry to Ukraine during the three quarters of 2023 were Hungary (29,7%), the Czech Republic (25,8%) and Poland (19,4%).
