Lithuania abolishes a number of restrictions for Ukrainian drivers

Lithuania has abolished the verification of compliance with environmental standards for Ukrainian trucks. From now on, Ukrainian trucks of any age may cross Lithuania, but in good technical condition. This was reported by the Ukrainian Agrarian Council.

In addition, by the end of this year, police, customs and border guards will not require drivers from Ukraine to obtain permissions to transport various types of cargoes. Under environmental standards one understands a set of values of indicators of harmful emissions into the atmosphere, which should meet the internal combustion engines of cars.

Additionally

Liberalization of freight rules for Ukrainian cars may soon be implemented  in all EU countries. An interim agreement on road transportation  between the European Union and Ukraine is being drafted today. This agreement provides for the exclusion of compliance with certain environmental standards for trucks. The agreement is planned to be prepared and approved by July this year.
