In 2024, Ukraine’s exports increased by at least 13.4% in monetary terms and by 28.8% in weight. This means that, overall, the total commodity export volume increased by nearly a third.
The main credit for this achievement goes to the operation of the maritime corridor, through which nearly 130 million tons of goods were exported, valued at 41 billion UAH. For comparison, in 2023, this figure was 100 million tons worth 36 billion UAH. Another key factor contributing to the growth of export figures was cooperation with international partners and the EU’s extension of its economic visa-free regime with Ukraine.
In 2024, compared to 2023, Ukrainian seaports increased cargo handling by 56.8%, reaching 97.2 million tons (compared to 62 million tons in 2023).
