Turkish businesses opened the largest number of companies in Ukraine last year. Despite the negative consequences of the war, challenging conditions, and trials, Turkey and Turkish businesses maintain unchanged interest in Ukraine.
This was stated by Burak Pehlivan, head of the Turkish-Ukrainian Business Association (TUİD).
“Despite the war, Turkish-Ukrainian economic and trade relations maintain their vitality, dynamism, and progress. In 2024, 1,109 companies with foreign capital were opened in Ukraine. Approximately 20% of them were companies with Turkish capital. Last year, Turkish companies accounted for the largest share of foreign companies opened in Ukraine,” - Pehlivan said.
In total, more than 1,100 Turkish companies are currently operating in Ukraine. Turkish investments in Ukraine are approaching $5 billion.
Ukraine and Turkey have managed to maintain their average bilateral trade volume at pre-war levels.
