In July Ukraine increased electricity exports by 16%

In July 2025, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 16% compared to June 2025, reaching 282.2 thousand MWh, and imports by 24.7%, totaling 257.7 thousand MWh. 

Electricity exports to Moldova increased, with deliveries occurring almost hourly, reaching over 115 thousand MWh, or 41% of the overall export volume. 

However, exports to all other destinations declined, with the largest drop (24%) in supplies to Slovakia. 

In July 2024, there were no electricity exports. 

The cost of imports significantly exceeds export revenues. 

Electricity imports in July 2025 increased by 24.7% compared to the previous month, reaching 257.7 thousand MWh. 

Compared to July 2024, electricity imports in 2025 decreased threefold.
