In January-February Ukraine exported alive and chilled fish worth over 147 thousand USD

 The UNN reports that, according to the data provided by the State Agency of Fisheries of Ukraine, in January-February 2020 Ukraine exported 127 tons of alive and chilled fish worth 147,6 thousand USD.

According to this reports, in January-February 2020 our country delivered to the external markets 127 tons of alive and fresh (chilled) fish and it amounted to 147,6 thousand USD. The 98% from this amount (124,8 tons of carp worth 134,8 thousand USD) was exported to Moldova. This, in cash equivalent, is 2,2% more in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

It has also been mentioned that the biggest amount of fresh or chilled fish was delivered to Turkey (1998 kg of the Black Sea turbot and carp, which amounts to 9 thousand USD).

The reports says that this commodity item has also been exported to Liberia (sea beams, carps, cape mouths), to Austria (Atlantic salmon), to Malta (carp), to Panama (carp), to Cyprus (Atlantic salmon), to
Seychelles and Marshall Islands (Pacific salmon).

By the way, in terms of commodity items, in January-February 2020, the most exported item was carp (119,800 kg, which amounted to 133,3 thousand USD) and Black Sea turbot (1,978 kg, which amounted to 8,9 thousand USD).

Let us remind you that in January Ukraine exported prepared and canned fish worth over 400 thousand USD.
