In January 2025, 749 tons of domestic butter were exported. This is 2.9 times more than in the same period last year. In monetary terms, butter exports generated $5.8 million, which is 3.6 times higher than the figure for January 2024. The largest buyers of domestic butter since the beginning of this year have been Moldova (46%), Azerbaijan (14.7%), and Israel (9%).
In contrast, butter imports in January 2025 decreased by 4.6 times compared to the same period last year, reaching 135 tons. In monetary terms, Ukraine spent 2.9 times less on purchasing butter abroad than in January 2024: $1.3 million. Most of the butter in January this year was supplied from the Netherlands (46.2%), Italy (19.4%), and Germany (16.1%).
