In January and February, the export of dairy products increased to 16,4 thousand tons

Despite the unstable situation on the global dairy market, in 2023 Ukraine has already exported 55% more of dairy products than in the same period last year. In January-February, 16,4 thousand tons of dairy products were exported. At the same time, the indicator increased by 33% compared to January-February 2022 and amounted to 35,8 million US dollars. Deliveries increased in all categories, except for 0403: buttermilk, coagulated milk and cream, yogurts, kefir.

It is worth mentioning the increase in the volume of cheese export. In the last 2 months, 1,3 thousand tons of products were exported, which is 49% more than last year, the indicator is 6,4 million US dollars (by 71% more). In February 2023, 786 000 tons worth 3,8 million US dollars were exported. The largest importers of Ukrainian cheeses are: Kazakhstan (59,8%), Moldova (19,7%), Jordan (5,3%), Azerbaijan (4,7%).

Exports of ice cream have increased significantly. In 2023, 876 tons were already exported, and  the indicator of 2,9 million US dollars, it increased by 2,3 times compared to last year. The main buyers of the product are: Moldova (21,8%), Poland (34,8%), Israel (12%).
