„This is an indicator of the best investment climate in Cherkasy region“, - Oleksandr Skichko about the opening of a new agricultural location

Large size, millions of investment, modern equipment and new working places. In Helmyazev, Zolotonosha district, the first turn of a new plant of corn processing LLC „SeedCorp“ was launched. The implementation of such projects in the region is a signal for investors that it is comfortable to work in Cherkasy region, said the head of the region Oleksandr Skichko.

LLC „SeedCorp“ has been working in Cherkasy region for the third year. It is actively developing in cooperation with LLC „Agricultural company Mais“. In particular, it has more than 5 000 hectares of irrigated land and a seed plant in Cherkasy.

- I am very glad with every implemented business project in Cherkasy region, - said the head of the regional state administration Oleksandr Skichko. - After all, it indicates an improvement in the investment climate and is a signal for potential investors: you can and should work in Cherkasy region and invest your money here. Six months ago LLC „SeedCorp“ started a project of building one more plant in Zolotonosha city. It is planned to complete it in 4 years. And today the first turn has already been finished. The company’s own investment will amount to 30 million US dollars. This is another powerful enterprise and besides this 200 working places.

It took 10 months starting from the idea to the opening of the first turn of the plant. It should be mentioned that they managed not only to work out the concept, find partners, purchase equipment during this period of time, but also to work fruitfully with representatives of the authorities.

The production capacity of the newly opened agrolocation in the line of grain drying and processing reaches up to 12 thousand tons. To provide the plant with corn cobs, 1 210 hectares of irrigated land were cultivated, and 22 units of specialized equipment for seed production were purchased.
