India has simplified the procedure for exporting Ukrainian grain

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare of India included Ukraine into the list of countries that do not treat grain with methyl bromide fumigants, and exempted our exporters from paying an additional penalty. From now on, Ukrainian exporters are exempted from paying additional payments (penalties) provided for by local legislation and have the right to export grain cargoes on the condition that they are disinfected with germicides based on aluminum phosphide.

The import of Ukrainian grains into the Republic of India was significantly complicated due to the presence of mandatory requirements for grain, which was fumigated with germicides containing the active substance methyl bromide (CH3Br).

Since 2016, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Economy, the State Production and Consumer Service and specialized associations that deal with the issue of decontamination and export of grain, with the support of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), have been working on the liberalization of the import of the Ukrainian grain to India.
