Hungary will enhance control over Ukrainian grain

Hungary will introduce increased control over the import of grain from Ukraine, as well as initiate the return of customs duties and quantitative restrictions on the import of oil and grain crops. Hungary intends to implement a mandatory Electronic Road Traffic Management System (EKÁER), with the help of which it will track the export of grain and oil crops from Ukraine.

Thus, the control authorities will get a more detailed information of the amount of grain and oil crops arriving in the country by vehicles, they will be able to impose fines, and undeclared cargoes will be confiscated as bail. Hungary also initiated the restoration of customs duties and quantitative restrictions on a group of goods, import of Ukrainian grain and oilseeds arriving into the country, at least on a temporary basis.
