Half of Ukrainian meat export are bought by two countries

In 2022, Ukraine increased revenue from the export of meat and offal by 9% up to 925 million US dollars. At the same time, the volume of poultry meat export reduced by 10% to 413 000 tons, and the cost of its sale increased by 19%, reaching 853 million US dollars.

The Netherlands, which led the top 10 in 2017-2019, regained its leadership in the ranking, having bought more than a quarter (27,3%) of domestic export of meat products worth 252 million US dollars from Ukraine last year.

Saudi Arabia moved to the second place. This country buys exclusively poultry meat from Ukraine. Last year, the volume of Ukrainian meat supplies there amounted to 81 000 tons worth 220 million US dollars, the share in total meat export was 23,8%. Thus, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia purchased more than half of the export of Ukrainian meat products.

The shares of Slovakia (7%), China (4,8%), the UAE (4,5%), and Türkiye (3,6%) are also significant. In general, these countries brought 71% of the income from Ukraine's meat sales on the global market.
