The government is increasing support for Ukrainian export

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 18, 2021, a decision was made прийнято рішення to increase the authorized capital of the Export Credit Agency to  UAH 1,8 billion. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, the Government wants to increase support for domestic enterprises that are dominating foreign markets, and therefore expands the program.

“During the second quarter, Ukraine’s GDP grew by 5,4%. An important role in economic recovery was played by the growth of Ukrainian export, which grew by 31% or 7 billion US dollars in six months. Increasing the authorized capital of the Export Credit Agency to UAH 1,8 billion will allow expanding the presence of Ukrainian goods in foreign markets,” -   the Prime Minister said.

Denis Shmygal also noted that over the past year, small and medium-sized businesses have received over UAH 60 billion in affordable and cheap loans. The head of the Ukrainian government stressed that the state will continue to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs through a program of affordable loans “5-7-9”, government portfolio guarantees and cheaper loans for farmers.
