The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced a zero quota for the export of sugar to the countries of the European Union. The suspension of sugar exports will last until the end of the year.
In order to comply with the conditions for the export of certain goods to the customs territory of the member states of the European Union within the framework of the temporary trade liberalization measures applied to Ukrainian products in accordance with the Association Agreement, the Government made changes to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 27.12.2023 N 1402 "On approval of lists of goods whose export and import are subject to licensing, and quotas for 2024."
The resolution was supplemented with a new appendix "Volumes of quotas of goods whose export to EU member states is subject to licensing", which includes certain agricultural products (sugar with a quota of 0 tons, meat and edible offal of poultry and turkey meat and edible offal of turkeys).
The new rules for exporting to the EU will come into effect on June 5, 2024.
