In the first half of 2025, German exports to Ukraine increased by over €1 billion, or 30.2%, reaching €4.6 billion. In contrast, Ukrainian exports to Germany slightly decreased by €70 million (4.5%), reaching €1.52 billion.
Several German companies demonstrate that investments are feasible even during wartime, with federal government investment guarantees playing a critical role. In the first half of 2025 alone, seven new projects worth €250 million were approved in Ukraine, with applications for an additional 31 projects currently under review.
The Eastern Committee of the German Economy has been providing centralized support for three years through the Service Desk Ukraine mechanism and regularly updates companies interested in participating in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
