In Ukraine, a record rapeseed harvest is expected - 4,2 million tons. This is facilitated by record sown areas and productivity, which may also reach the maximum indicator.

According to the information from market participants, in the conditions of constant attacks on the port infrastructure, the September contracts are focused on automobile and railway logistics of rapeseed. If EU countries remain the key sales markets for rapeseed and rapeseed meal, China is competing quite successfully with them in the rapeseed oil market.

And there are changes in the geographical structure of exports:

rapeseed — the share of EU countries reduced in favor of Great Britain, Switzerland and Bangladesh;

rapeseed oil — the share of EU countries reduced in favor of China and Malaysia;

rapeseed meal — on the contrary, the share of EU countries reached 95%, the other 5% — export to Vietnam.

The current export figures in August (as of 22 August, 2023, about 500 000 tons of rapeseed and more than 58 000 tons of rapeseed oil were exported) allow us to consider optimistic scenarios.
