Foreign investment in Ukraine reduced by 14%

The inflow of foreign direct investment into Ukraine for the first 11 months of 2024 amounted to $3,98 billion, which is 14% less compared to the same period in 2023.

For the first 11 months of 2024, Ukraine's balance of payments was reduced to a deficit of $3,1 billion compared to a surplus of $8,4 billion for the same period in 2023, he noted.

However, given the record December receipts of external official financing from partners (+$9,2 billion) and record interventions by the NBU to support the exchange rate (-$5,3 billion), as well as trends in foreign trade, at the end of the year the balance of payments balance is likely to be close to zero, he emphasizes.
