In the first half of 2025, Ukraine increased its imports of buttermilk

From January to June 2025, Ukraine imported 4,700 tons of buttermilk, fermented or acidified milk, and cream, a 23.7% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. 

In monetary terms, imports increased by 22.8% compared to the first half of 2024, reaching $9.7 million. 

The main suppliers were Poland (50.3%), Belgium (40.9%), and Germany (5.6%). 

On the export side, Ukraine shipped 2,800 tons of buttermilk, fermented or acidified milk, and cream in the first six months of 2025, a 47.4% increase compared to the same period last year. 

In monetary terms, exports increased by 64% compared to the first half of 2024, reaching $4.1 million. 

The primary buyers were Moldova (84.4%), Kazakhstan (6.3%), and the UAE (5.1%).
