Ukraine imported 3 million tons of fertilizers over the 11 months of the current year. Analysts expect total imports of nitrogen fertilizers to reach 1.9 million tons by the end of the year.

Even with these figures, Ukraine will face spring 2026 with a massive fertilizer deficit, as the need for the current year exceeds 5 million tons.

Imports of phosphorus and phosphorus-nitrogen fertilizers amounted to 410 thousand tons. This is a significant figure, but far from the required 700–800 thousand tons.
