The export of Ukrainian products decreased by almost a third

The export of goods of Ukrainian origin for January-August 2022 decreased by 31% compared to the same figures last year and amounted to about 29 billion US dollars. Thus, according to the results of January-August, Ukraine exported goods worth 28,97 billion US dollars, while last year for the specified period products worth 41,8 billion US dollars were exported.

The export of Ukrainian metals and products from them decreased by more than half (-54%) — 4,7 billion US dollars against 10,2 billion US dollars in 8 months of 2021. The second place in terms of volume of decline (-53%) is mineral products — exports in January-August 2022 amounted to 2,8 billion US dollars against 5,9 billion  US dollars in the same period last year.

Exports of chemical industry products decreased by 46% over the specified period — from 2,4 billion US dollars to 1,3 billion US dollars. EU countries remain the largest trade partners of Ukraine, their share in the export structure is 62%. The export of Ukrainian products to this region during 8 months of 2022 increased by 6% compared to the corresponding figures last year — from 16,8 billion US dollars  to 17,9 billion US dollars.
