Export of cattle in 8 months made it possible to earn 14,8% more

In January-August 2022, Ukraine exported 11,2 thousand tons of cattle, which is 28,7% more than in the same period last year.

In monetary terms, the export of live cattle for eight months reached 21,7 million US dollars - 14,8% more than in the same period of 2021.

Egypt (63,4%), Lebanon (18,1%), and Jordan (14,7%) bought domestic cattle most of all during the eight months of this year. The import of cattle in January-August 2022 amounted to 717 tons, which is 34,8% less than in the same period last year.

Ukrainian farmers spent 3,1 million US dollars on the purchase of cattle abroad - 58,5% less than in the first eight months of 2021. Live cattle in January-August 2022 were mostly bought in Slovakia (28,2%), the Czech Republic (21,7%) and Denmark (19,9%).
