Experts of the EU mission in the first report gave a positive assessment of the high level of implementation of Ukrainian legislation to the European

In May, the first preliminary EU assessment mission was completed, following which the first official report was presented. This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

This report is the foundation for further action to complete the transposition of EU regulations; clarification of translations and correlation tables, as well as for further audit of the national quality infrastructure.

Thus, experts assessed the level of transposition of each of the 80 EU regulations, the implementation of which will be required for the conclusion of an agreement on ,,industrial visa-free regime”. It should be noted that the list of regulations to be assessed was expanded to regulations on eco-labeling and ecodesign.

As for 67 documents, experts concluded that EU legislation has been properly transposed and that 13 other documents are being transposed now; to 6 of them were given with draft relevant EU regulations.

EU experts provided very important recommendations on the nuances of transposition of EU documents into national legislation, translation of terminology, preparation of correlation tables, etc.

They also defined a range of issues that need to be addressed before concluding the agreement, including the recognition of CE marking, participation in RAPEX and ICSMS. This set of issues will require joint action by Ukraine and the EU to prepare Ukraine for involvement in the EU technical regulation system.

Experts also mentioned that the national quality infrastructure operates on the basis of EU norms and regulations. This conclusion gives the green light for the next stage in the agreed action plan for concluding the ACAA - evaluation of the work of institutions. Therefore, a comprehensive audit of the work of all institutions in the field of technical regulations will begin in the coming weeks.
