The European Commission has reached an agreement with 5 neighboring countries of Ukraine regarding the import of agricultural products

The key elements of the agreements reached, which have also been agreed with Ukraine, are the abolition of unilateral restrictions on such import, which were introduced by Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.

At the same time, exclusive protective measures will be applied for four products - wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. At the same time, the European Commission will allocate an additional 100 million euros to help farmers in the mentioned five EU states who have experienced losses due to the current situation.

Besides this, investigations will be initiated regarding the need to apply protective measures in the import of other products from Ukraine, including sunflower oil. At the same time, the sides will continue to work to ensure the export of Ukrainian goods through the "solidarity corridors" of the EU.
