The European Commission has completed the audit of the official control over manufacturing and certification of Ukrainian milk and dairy products, aimed at exports to the European Union. 

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has successfully completed the last stage of the inspections and has officially completed the mission. This became possible thanks to the coordinated work of many specialists.

The head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Vladyslava Mahaletska said that the audit results confirm the effectiveness of the Ukrainian system of state control, which is carried out by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, in the international arena. She also said that she hopes that Ukrainian producers will continue to maintain a high level of the products quality, which are supplied both to the domestic market and abroad.

The audit took place from March 1 to March 12, 2021. After this the official assessment of its results took place. 

For your reference. In 2016 the access to the EU markets for products of animal origin from Ukraine was expanded. In particular, in January 2016 Ukraine received the permit for exports to the EU of the dairy products. Starting from the second half of 2016, 13 Ukrainian companies have started exporting dairy products to the EU. As of October 2021, milk and dairy products are supplied to the EU by 25 Ukrainian companies.
