The EU will reduce imports of Ukrainian goods

The European Union will reduce quotas on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine starting June 5.

On June 5, the trade agreement between Kyiv and Brussels, under which Ukrainian goods were entering the European market duty-free, will expire.

The EU introduced tariff relief for the import of agricultural products from Ukraine in 2022 to support the country after the start of the war. However, this decision negatively affected European farmers. Last year, duty-free imports of certain types of products were already restricted. Now, the EU and Ukraine must negotiate the terms of further trade.

Meanwhile, in addition to agricultural products, Poland has begun blocking the import of goods from Ukrainian woodworking enterprises. The reason for this was the alleged Belarusian or Russian origin of the wood.
