EU has approved the duty-free delivery of 750 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn

 The company UkrAgroConsult informs that the European Union has issued licenses for imports of 750 thousand tons of corn as a part of a quota for duty-free supplies of Ukrainian grain to the European countries. The company proves this fact by providing references to the Reuters.

The announcement says that according to the official data, published the previous week, the European Union has issued the licenses for imports of 750 thousand tons of corn as a part of a quota for duty-free supplies of Ukrainian grain to the European countries.

As it has been mentioned this number will be divided into two separate deliveries: 480 thousand tons and 270 thousand tons.

It has also been mentioned earlier that, according to the monthly monitoring of the agricultural trade, which is conducted by the European Commission, in the period of December 2018 to November 2019 Ukraine became the third world exporter of agricultural products to the European Union. The total exports amounted to 7,3 billion EUR. More than 83% of the total Ukrainian exports of products to the European countries belong to exports of cereal and oil crops, oils and fats.
