The EBRD will provide €182 million to improve the export infrastructure between Ukraine and the EU

As part of the project "Development of the Trans-European Transport Network between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), access roads to checkpoints on the western border will be overhauled. This is about the highway M-09 road Ternopil - Lviv - Rava-Ruska to the international checkpoint "Rava-Ruska - Grebenne". This road is the main route connecting Lviv and Warsaw and is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).

Colleagues from the EBRD have already conducted an audit of highway traffic safety, an analysis of the economic feasibility of investments, an environmental and social assessment of the project and decided to direct part of the funds to the capital repair of part of the M-09 highway. Carrying out the works in full will reduce logistics costs in the direction of transportation between Ukraine and the European Union.

Motorway M-09 Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Ruska, km 129+807 – km 191+877 was included as a component of the Credit Agreement with the EBRD. €182 million was reallocated for implementation of the project.

The project will be implemented by the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
