During the first quarter of the year, imports of lard increased by 84%

In January-March 2026, Ukraine imported 4.6 thousand tons of lard, pork fat and poultry fat – 84% more than in the first quarter of last year.

In monetary terms, $5.3 million was spent on the purchase of lard and fat abroad, which is 82.8% more than in the same period of 2025.

The largest suppliers of lard, pork fat and poultry fat to Ukraine in the first quarter of this year were Poland (58.8%), Germany (38.6%) and Spain (2.3%).
