Development of industrial parks: The Verkhovna Rada approved amendments to the relevant Law of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported in the second reading the amendments to the Law of Ukraine „On Industrial Parks“. The document aims to create new incentives for regional development and to become an impetus for attracting investment. 290 people's deputies voted in favor of the Law. This was announced by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov.

„Today we received the legal basis to attract additional investment and launch new business projects in the regions. The Government’s action plan for the development of industrial parks is done for several years. Thanks to its implementation, a network of industrial parks across the country will be developed. I thank the people’s deputies for their support and consistency in the realization of our common goal - effective regional development and development of the economic potential of each community,“-  said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The law provides for the introduction of a number of benefits for participants of industrial parks. In particular, the compensation of part of the interest payments on loans.

The document also introduces compensation for the costs of connection to the engineering and transport networks. At the same time, the state will finance the construction of basic and adjacent infrastructure of industrial parks.

It should be noted that the construction and development of industrial parks this year were added to the Program of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky „Velyke Budivnytstvo (Big Construction)“. In 2021, the Government plans to invest in the infrastructure of 4 industrial parks for the sum of almost UAH 80 million.

It should be mentioned that earlier the Minister of development of communities and territories Oleksiy Chernyshov informed that in 2021 from the State fund of regional development the creation of infrastructure of four more industrial parks in Ukraine will be financed.
