The Council supported a draft law on improving the operation of industrial parks

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) approved in the first reading draft law No. 12117 on improving the functioning of industrial parks.

This was reported on Facebook by Member of Parliament Dmytro Kysylevskyi, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, as conveyed by a Ukrinform correspondent.

Among the main proposed changes are a clear separation of the functions of all entities within an industrial park, an expansion of the list of activities allowed for participants in an industrial park, including the possibility of generating their own electricity. Proposals have also been introduced to expand the list of facilities that can be located within an industrial park, regulate the procedure for increasing or decreasing the park’s area, and establish rules for placing other facilities on its territory, beyond industrial ones.

Additionally, deputies propose granting the managing company the opportunity to use the state program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”.
