Cheese imports and exports grow at similar rates

In January-March 2025, Ukraine imported 10,000 tons of cheese, a 23.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Cheese imports reached $60.7 million, a 23.9% increase from Q1 2024. Cheeses were primarily imported from Poland (45.2%), the Netherlands (8.7%), and Germany (8.4%).

Ukraine’s cheese exports in Q1 2025 reached 3,200 tons, a 23.1% increase from the same period last year. In monetary terms, exports generated $14.7 million, a 30.1% increase compared to January-March 2024. The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheeses in the first three months of 2025 were Moldova (34.5%), Kazakhstan (34.2%), and Germany (8.4%).
