The Ministry of Finance of Canada has extended the decree on exemption of Ukrainian goods from duties until June 9, 2027.
The relevant legislative changes were published in the official government gazette of Canada, Canada Gazette.
Only eggs, chicken and dairy products, the sale of which in Canada is controlled separately, will not be exempt from duties.
The duty-free regime for Ukrainian goods in Canada was introduced on June 9, 2022, and its validity is extended annually. During this time, Ukrainian importers have saved 9.5 million Canadian dollars. It is expected that the extension of the decree will allow saving another approximately 1.2 million Canadian dollars.
