The Cabinet of Ministers refused from the idea of a 10% tax on currency exchange transactions for import

The draft law on introducing a 10% tax on the purchase of currency for import operations will not be considered by the Verkhovna Rada

(according to the information of Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs). It is mentioned that during the 6 months of war and the destruction of civil and industrial infrastructure by the occupiers,

a number of industrialists have lost or have significant damage of the equipment. Components and raw materials that are not manufactured in Ukraine are needed for repairing or replacement.

If additional taxation of currency transactions were introduced, these duties would inevitably fall on the shoulders of the final consumer, leading to an increase in the price of imported and domestic products.
