In the first half of January 2025, Ukraine reduced its foreign trade in dairy products by 42.7% compared to the first half of December 2024, reaching a value of $15.8 million.
It is noted that export volumes decreased by 14%, while imports dropped by 54%. However, a different shift is observed in individual product categories.
For instance, export supplies of butter and dairy fats increased by 57%. At the same time, some products saw declines, including exports of condensed milk and cream, which fell by 31%, and non-condensed cream, which decreased by 28%.
As for imports, there was some growth - imports of non-condensed milk and cream increased by 75%.
However, other categories experienced significant declines, particularly butter and dairy fats, which dropped by 74%, while imports of all types of cheese decreased by 53%.
