In 2024, Ukraine's trade turnover amounted to $112,3 billion

The tax burden on 1 kg of taxable import in 2024 amounted to $0,51/kg, which is 5% more than in 2023. According to the results of 2024, Ukraine's trade turnover reached $112,3 billion, demonstrating an increase of 13% compared to 2023. Import to Ukraine during the reporting period amounted to $70,7 billion, while export amounted to $41,6 billion.

Ukraine actively imported goods from China ($14,4 billion), Poland ($7 billion) and Germany ($5,4 billion). Export deliveries were mostly directed to Poland ($4,7 billion), Spain ($2,9 billion) and Germany ($2,8 billion).

Three key groups of goods accounted for 65% of total import:

Machinery, equipment and transport – $25 billion, which provided UAH 172,3 billion in customs payments (29% of the total).

Chemical industry products – $11,7 billion, of which UAH 87,7 billion (15%) went to the budget.

Fuel and energy products – $8,9 billion, which brought UAH 157,6 billion in customs payments (27%).

In 2024, the largest export categories were:

Food products – $24,6 billion.

Metals and products made from them – $4,4 billion.

Machinery, equipment and transport – $3,5 billion.

When exporting goods subject to export duties, the budget received UAH 311,3 million.
